The three masted wooden schooner
George W. Westcott was built in 1863 at Sacketts Harbor, New York by S. Reed Jr. The vessel was valued at $3,500 and rated B1. It was primarily engaged in the lumber trade.
March 28, 1865: reenrolled at Milwaukee, Wisconsin -- originally enrolled at Sacketts Harbor, New York in 1863.
April, 1876: The
George W. Westcott has been lengthened 30 feet and repaired at an expense of $3,000.
Original size: 81.66 feet long X 24 feet beam X 9.16 feet deep, 111.69 gross tons.
Rebuilt size: 111.5 feet x 24.66 feet X 7.66 feet, 122.87 gt.
June, 1892: Collided with the steambarge
O.E. Parks at Milwaukee Harbor.
1919: Dropped from the Merchant Vessels and Great Lakes Registers.
