Last Document Surrendered Chicago 11/11/1885: "Wrecked"
Final Voyage

"October 19, 1885. the schooner White Oak, bound from Kewaunee, Wi to Chicago, Il, with a load of railroad ties was wrecked 5 1/2 miles north of Sheboygan at Pigeon Bay during a blow. The vessel was valued at $1,500 and the cargo at $700, according to the USLSS 1886 report. Apparently the cargo was saved but the vessel lost."
