Final Voyage
On May 24th, 1901, the schooner
Dollie M. was stranded and eventually abandoned at Schumacher's Point (Shoemaker's Point?) or possibly northwest of Sherwood Point which is a short distance north of Shoemaker's Point on the east side of the Bay (Green Bay). The vessel had been blown ashore during a storm and the owners decided to abandon her after considering the expense to float her free. The
Dollie M. was stripped of the canvas and anything else of value.
