Description
The Two Rivers North Pierhead Light has been moved from its original location to the Rogers Street Fishing Village Museum where it can be toured as part of regular museum admission. First used in 1886, the red wooden structure was retired in 1969 and donated to the city's historical society. Rogers Street Fishing Village Museum is open to the public seasonally. You can climb exterior steps to an observation platform and interior of the old lantern room of the old Two Rivers Pierhead Light. This is a wonderful stop if you're interested in the maritime history of the region - everything from Two River's fishing fleet to shipwrecks off the coast is touched on in this wonderful museum. Please contact the museum for operating hours and admission charges.
