The Arthur was abandoned and slowly sank at the dock. Its boiler, engine and propeller were salvaged, possibly with the use of explosives. A brass stencil with words "Tug Arthur" was seen on the wreck by Tom Gaber a couple of years ago, but it can't be found now.
