Service History


The Pewaukee a one masted wooden barge, was formerly the three masted schooner Two Friends (Canadian) which was rebuilt as a tow barge after a wreck on 10/16/1880. Last document Surrendered 11/10/1913:"Abandoned".
Final Voyage


The Pewaukee was abandoned and sunk to be used as a breakwater for the stone quarry at the mouth of Green bay. The barge had no machinery and was filled with stone prior to sinking.
