Service History

The Anabel II was built by the Burger Boat Company in Manitowoc, Wisconsin in 1928 as an oil screw (diesel) fish tug. She was destroyed by fire at her winter dock. Previously she had sunk at her dock at Manitique, Michigan, but had been acquired by Roen SS Company to be converted from a fishing tug to a towing tug.
Final Voyage

January 12, 1956. The oil steamer Anabel II, employed in the tow service, burned at the docks of the Roen Steamship Company in Sturgeon Bay.
