Service History

This schooner-scow Foam, owned by Captain Dan Stevenson, was beached without damage in a freak accident near the A.B. Stevenson Dock. During a savage storm, the craft was picked up by a huge wave and hurled over an abandoned schooner (the Charley J. Smith) which was sunk alongside the pier. Although completely beached after the mishap, the Foam was shortly hauled off and returned to service.
Final Voyage

The last document, Enrollment No.46, issued at the port of Milwaukee on March 22, 1884, was surrendered at Milwaukee on June 25,1910; Cause of Surrender "Abandoned."
