A three masted schooner owned by Chris Braunsdorf who was a resident of Clay Banks (Door County, Wisconsin).

Early 1890's: The City Of Marinette had been driven ashore near Ephraim, Wisconsin and had been released.

May 1894. The schooner City Of Marinette, while at Clay Banks, was driven ashore during a northeaster storm and then released.
In early 1894, the City of Marinette was blown ashore (twice in a short period of time and near the same location) while at anchor as it was receiving a cargo of lumber by a small scow. The vessel remained stranded on the sand beach during the summer, damaged, but with the canvas still set. The vessel went to pieces by fall. The incident occurred near Clay Banks village in Door County at the head of the bay.

The following September, The Door County Advocate reported "The old schooner City of Marinette, which is lying on the beach in a waterlogged condition up at the head of the bay, is going to rack and ruin. The canvas still remains secured to the masts and booms."
