The new schooner Belle Laurie was launched on July 27th, 1876 at Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. She plied the western shore of Lake Michigan from Door County south to Milwaukee carrying cargo such as wood, iron,ties, posts and melons.

Last Enrollment Surrendered: Milwaukee: August 24, 1894: Cause of Surrender "Dismantled and Abandoned As Unfit For Service".
August 10th, 1894. The wooden schooner Belle Laurie was on her way to Milwaukee with a load of posts. She lost her deck load of posts, sprung a leak and foundered during a hard sea in Garret Bay, northern tip of Door County, on Lake Michigan. The owner of the Belle Laurie, W.G. Manney, stated that she was not totally wrecked even though she was setting in the mud on the bottom and he would not try to salvage her. On 8/24/1894 she was taken to Green Bay where she was dismantled and abandoned.
