Final Voyage

"The Skipper sank in the winter of 1858 after foundering in a heavy wind, at the mouth of the Eau Claire River; the wreck drifted downstream near the Masonic Temple (in Eau Claire?). LC lists a steamer abandoned in 1858 by the same name, built in Freedom , PA in 1847."
