The wooden two masted schooner Reciprocity was built in 1855 at Detroit, Michigan by J.L. Wolverton. Her official registry number was 21185. She was valued at $7,500 and rated B1 in 1863 by The Board of Lake Underwriters.

10/19/1880 "The schooner Reciprocity, laden with cedar posts and telegraph poles, which waterlogged off Two Rivers on Saturday, has drifted on the reef off the above place, and is a complete wreck. Her stern is all broken up from the mainmast aft..."

"The schooner Reciprocity, waterlogged off Two Rivers and went ashore at Foscoro, where she went pieces. Her crew escaped with difficulty. The Reciprocity is owned by Capt. E.D. Wilson of the Newsboy." Milwaukee Sentinel 10/19/1880. Almost identical article in the DCA 1880-10-21

"The wreck of the schooner Reciprosity remains in about the same condition that the October storm left it at Foscoro. The foremast is still standing, but the other spar has gone by the board." Door County Advocate 1881-02-03
The Reciprocity has never been conclusively found, but the wreckage near the LaPetite might be that of the Reciprocity.
