The Kentucky No.2 "ran the Evansville-Green River Line under the Captain J.T. Hugo. Sold to the Upper Miss, and in early 1857 she caught fire while landing alongside the Prairie State at Rock Island, destroying the latter. Owned by Capt. Final Voyage

The Kentucky No. 2 sank on a bar at Pruitt's Island, a mile below Prescott on the Mississippi River in 1858.

"At Pewitt's - now Prescott Island, at the foot of a great sand bar -- machinery salvaged" Merrick, Steamboats and Steamboat Men.
