Lost in a Heavy Gale
"The Etta sank in a heavy gale off Sturgeon Bay Bluff and settled in 60 feet of water. She was bound for Green Bay at the time and was loaded with a cargo of stone for C. Kitchen. The crew was saved. The Etta hailed from De Pere." --Green Bay Advocate. August 7, 1856
