Service History

The Bob Cook was a wood freighting scow that was built in Duluth, Wisconsin in 1907.
Final Voyage

The scow Bob Cook foundered somewhere between Superior, Wisconsin and Bayfield, Wisconsin in November of 1937.

"The derrick scow Bob Cook foundered at least twice in the Bayfield area, once in July 1928 and again in November 1937. In the latter incident she was reported to have gone to the bottom in 20 feet of water in the Halvor Reiten slip. There was no indication of salvage actually having taken place immediately following the incident. The Cook is described as having an engine room and crane, perhaps similar in nature to the of the Finn McCool also abandoned near Bayfield ..."
