Service History

The Tourist was a passenger, freight and fish tug.
Final Voyage

"Tourist caught fire twice: first occasion was early morning 9/6/1889 while lying at the foot of Washington Ave. This fire was believed to be extinguished. However, the vessel caught fire again only a few hours later, and was cut loose to drift along the shore and burn. No record of salvage attempt so vessel is presumed a total loss."
