Final Voyage

"Chicago, Ill., may 22.--The Schooner Sunrise light from Chicago for Cockburn Island, was run down and sunk by Whaleback 133, which was in tow of the W.H. Gratwick and was not seen by the crew of the schooner until the crash came. The bow of the Sunrise was cut off, and the crew barely had time to lower the yawl. They were picked up by the Whaleback and brought to Chicago. The Sunrise was owned by Henry Steele of Sheboygan and Capt. Bushman. She was worth $8,000 and had no insurance."
