"Washington IS.--Haldor Gudmundson's 26-ft. fishing boat, the Sea Queen, burned to the water line Sunday night after an explosion. The explosion happened when the engine was started. Sparks apparently ignited fumes in the bilge.
The Sea Queen was tied at its dock in Detroit Harbor. The owner was not injured but his son David suffered face and arm burns." Door County Advocate April 12, 1955
The above article further states that the vessel burned to its waterline and that "The Sea Queen was a fish tug converted for use by sport fishermen."
