The gasoline boat (also called a gasoline schooner by the newspapers) J.M. Harvey was used for transporting vegetables along the western coast of Lake Michigan. Last Document Surrendered Milwaukee 11/27/08
Final Voyage


Sheboygan Press, November 28,1908. "The gasoline boat J.M. Harvey is a total loss six miles south of here. The boat left Milwaukee Monday afternoon for Cheboygan, Mich. In the fog she ran ashore and was wrecked. The Harvey is owned by Otto Oswald of Jones Island and was valued at $1000..."
